Queen Ann Nzinga Center is a non profit organization named for a prominent 15th century African queen. The center is an umbrella for three distinct youth programs, a professional music group and an annual series of concerts & events.
Nzinga’s Daughters is a five woman performance ensemble that fosters appreciation of a multicultural society and deepens public understanding of the history and cultural achievements of Africa and the African Diaspora.
The center runs three programs for children and youth: Nzinga's Watoto, PRIDE, and the Male Mentor Program. All three promote positive youth development among children of all races and abilities throughout Connecticut.
